Three children found at suspected Morgan Co. meth house | Crime
Morgan County, AL (WAFF) - Tips from concerned family members led to a meth raid at a home on Shadow Wood Pvt. Drive in Somerville/Priceville Wednesday night.
According to Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin, drug agents found items used in meth manufacturing at the home including camp fuel, syringes, lithium battery casings, Pseudoephedrine blister packs and also saw evidence of a one pot -methamphetamine lab in a burn pile.
Three children at the home were taken in by DHR. Franklin says the family had been in contact with DHR in recent months.
The children's parents - 30 year old Julia Pearson and 27 year old Dustin Melson were taken into custody. Ms. Pearson was charged with Attempt to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime- Manufacture of Methamphetamine and is being held on $2,500 bond. Mr. Melson is in the Decatur City Jail facing he Attempt to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime- Manufacture of Methamphetamine along with Unlawful Possession of Felony Drug Paraphernalia charges. He's being held on $5,000 bond.
