Decatur man arrested on multiple counts | Crime
DECATUR, AL- Decatur police say a woman filed a report with the department in reference to the unauthorized use of her debit card at several businesses in the city.
Investigators used surveillance footage to identify the suspect, Willie Jermiane Swoope.
Detectives obtained two felony warrants against Swoope, each for one count of illegal possession or fraudulent use of a credit or debit card.
Swoope also had an active misdemeanor warrant with Decatur for failing to appear at court on an unrelated charge. The warrant had a $200.00 cash bond.
Officers located Swoope in Decatur Tuesday and arrested him for public intoxication. Swoope was also charged with the misdemeanor warrant (failure to appear), and the two felony warrants (illegal possession or fraudulent use of a credit or debit card).
Swoope was booked in the Decatur City Jail. Swoope was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond. He is in the Morgan County Jail with a total bond amount of $5,700.00.
