Woman charged with attempting controlled substance crime | Crime
Decatur police reported that they arrested a woman for attempting to fill forged prescriptions on Friday.
Police said an officer responded to the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Danville Road SW where employees said a woman identified as Candria Demastus had attempted to purchase two forged medication prescriptions from a local doctor’s office. Authorities said an investigator spoke with an employee at the doctor’s office and later confirmed the prescription was forged.
A police officer located Demastus in the Rite Aid parking lot and arrested her for attempting to commit a controlled substance crime.
Demastus was transported to Decatur City Jail and is pending transfer to the Morgan County Jail with a $2,500 bond.
