Marshall County man arrested in Morgan County burglary | Crime
On January 28, a Morgan County Sheriff's Deputy received a complaint of a suspicious man in the area of local businesses. The deputy stopped and detained 33 year-old Joshua John McBride, of Marshall County, on Hwy 231 in Union Grove.
Deputies found all the suspect's jacket pockets were filled with several new items, including watches, knives, lighters, money clips, tools, and food snacks. The items in his pockets had been described as stolen in a burglary of a nearby business.
McBride told deputies he’d planned to use the items in a yard sale. He later confessed to the burglary and thefts which he committed earlier that morning at the Morgan City Salvage Store.
McBride was arrested charged with burglary third degree and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. He was placed in the Morgan County Jail on a $2,800 bond.
