Decatur PD arrest 87-year-old sex offender for violating registration laws | Crime

Decatur Police arrested 87-year-old Thomas Irvin Holland, Jr. for violating the Alabama Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act by living at a non-compliant residence after his conviction.

Holland had possibly established a residence at 1002 5th AVE SW Decatur, AL. 35601 when he claimed he resided at 3211 Hwy 31 South 3-D Decatur, AL. 35601.

1002 5th AVE SW Decatur, AL. 35601 is non-compliant due to being within 2000 feet to Brookhaven Middle School and West Decatur Elementary School properties.

Holland was arrested and booked in the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail on a $2500 bond.
