Multiple drug arrests made in Decatur and Hartselle | Crime
The Morgan County Drug Task Force arrested five people for various drug charges in Hartselle and Decatur areas.
On Friday agents responded to Quail Run Apartments in Hartselle. Hartselle Police discovered discovered marijuana in apartment E-6. Agents charged Orr with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Drug Agents then responded to Perkins Wood Rd. just outside of Hartselle City Limits. Officials stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered meth and drug paraphernalia. Agents arrested Brandon Buckelew for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police also arrested Gaston Blake King for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
A few hours later, Dep. Jon Mason was sent to Betterton Dr. in the Neel Community after a 9-year-old child found his brother's meth lab. Drug Agents responded and discovered 3 one pot meth labs, acids, bases, lithium batteries, and cold packs. Agents arrested Jacob Lee Palmer for unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance and drug endangered child.
Agents were called to Hwy 36 and Hwy 67. Police stopped a vehicle for a headlight violation and discovered a chemical odor coming from a box in the back seat. Agents discovered a meth lab in the container along with acid, cold packs, fertilizer, cold pills, and lithium batteries. Agents arrested Bobby Dean Walker for unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance.
All five suspects were taken to the Morgan County Jail.
