Convicted sex offender found living with minors | Crime

Decatur Police arrested a convicted sex offender when they discovered he had two residences set up involving minors.

Officials said Joe Earp established two prohibited locations in Decatur. Both residences had minors living there.

Earp was convicted of sexually abusing a 5-year-old in 1986.

Earp confessed to living at the prohibited residences.

He was arrested December 5 and booked in the Decatur City Jail.
