Decatur police chase ends in drug arrest | Crime

A traffic stop turned into a chase and a spice bust on 8th Avenue Northwest at West Moulton Street in Decatur.

Police said they noticed a white Camry drive off the road, over the curb, and through part of a yard on Saturday.

When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver turned into a driveway and then took off on foot.

After a short chase, police arrested Spencer Oneal Johnson.

Officers said he had a quantity of spice on him.

Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, driving while revoked, and driving on a curb/sidewalk.

He was taken to the Decatur City Jail on a $4,000 bond.
