Alabama’s Affordable Homeowners Insurance Commission forum in Decatur October 17

Decatur-Area citizens who are concerned about the availability and affordability of homeowner’s insurance are invited to participate in a consumer forum hosted by the Alabama Affordable Homeowners Insurance Commission (AHIC), scheduled Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Decatur. Individuals, as well as group and association representatives, are encouraged to share their comments with commission members.

John Caylor, regional chair of the AHIC, State Revenue Commissioner Julie P. Magee, AHIC commission member, and Baldwin County Probate Judge Tim Russell, AHIC chairman, encourage area citizens to participate in the forum and share their opinions and suggestions with commission members.

According to Caylor, who will serve as moderator of the Decatur meeting, citizens will have the opportunity to address the commission during a two-hour public comment period.
