DECATUR, AL (WAFF)- As many people plunged into the cold Tennessee River, one father, daughter duo had another reason to celebrate.
Kelly Busch Griffith says said very excited.
"My dad has been doing this for 11 years now, and I always said one of these years I'm going to do it with him," she said. "After battling breast cancer for all of 2012, I couldn't think of a better way to kiss that year goodbye, and ring in 2013."
Because of everything she's been through, this event is drawing her and her father closer together.
Her dad, Jerry W. Busch, said Kelly went skydiving as part of her "bucket list," celebrating life. Busch said he's proud of his daughter and of her accomplishments.
